I have been teaching at the university level for over ten years. I am an adherent of a holistic, exploratory, experiential teaching model, and I believe that the more exposure students have to ideas, stories, and experiences that are unlike their own, the more likely they are to become lifelong devotees of knowledge. I have taught English to new speakers in Budapest, Hungary, poetry writing to American students in Florence, Italy, and a range of composition, literature, and creative writing courses. In 2019 I will be leading an honors colloquium on personal storytelling and memoir at Kent State University’s Honors College.
